TLDR: This is a great sunscreen that I think those with normal, combination or oily skin types might love. If you like a non-shiny, non-greasy but radiant, satin finish, give this a try. You may love it!
I am a bit of a sunscreen addict. I love trying different formulas and am always looking for a sunscreen that performs well in terms of protecting my skin from the damaging effects of UV rays, but that also looks and feels great on the skin. If it doesn't look and feel good on my skin I know I won't want to use it. For that reason, I am always trying new formulas, hoping to find that elusive, perfect one.
Is the Skinceuticals Advanced Brightening UV Defense Sunscreen that perfect formula I am always looking for? The good points definitely outweigh any negative and I’d rank it amongst my top five at least. The only point where this formula really falls down for me is in the high alcohol content. I was very surprised when reading the inci list, to find alcohol denat. as the second ingredient, second only to water. Although my skin does seem to tolerate this, I know this would be a deal breaker for many and it would certainly have deterred me from buying, had I noticed it in the first instance. That said, I am glad I did try it and, were it not for this one point and my concern on the longer term implications of applying this amount of alcohol to the skin on a daily basis, I really would love it.
I wear make-up on a daily basis and one of the best points about this formula…
