The number one professional skincare brand in the UK and Ireland

Dermalogica’s mission is all about delivering results. Founded in 1986 by skin therapist Jane Wurwand, the brand has gone from strength to strength, recruiting an army of loyal followers. It’s used by more than 100,000 skin therapists in more than 100 countries all over the world.

Results you can trust

Dermalogica has stayed true to its roots of offering results-oriented, no-nonsense products, presented within simple and sustainable packaging. Dermalogica is known and loved for its cutting-edge ingredients and formulas that are backed by the latest advances in science and technology – but omit common irritants and ingredients that can cause breakouts. The brand offers professional-grade skin care products, services and education to skin therapists and customers alike. That’s why Dermalogica is the number one choice of skin care professionals worldwide.

Vegan and cruelty-free

Dermalogica has always understood that the ingredients a product doesn’t contain are just as important as the ones it includes. That’s why, as an advocate of clean and responsible skincare, every product is formulated without parabens, sulphates, phthalates, mineral oils and GMOs. Furthermore, the brand is certified vegan on all but two of its products (Sheer Tint SPF20 and Multivitamin Power Serum). It’s also recognised as cruelty-free by Leaping Bunny and Peta.

Sustainability goals

As a global brand Dermalogica is fully aware of the impact its actions can have on the environment. That’s why it is committed to an ambitious new Healthy Skin, Healthy Planet initiative. Dermalogica has identified a number of sustainability goals to meet or surpass by 2025. These include ensuring that 90% of its ingredients are sustainably sourced; that 100% of its tubes, bottles and boxes will be designed to be reused, recycled and/or composted; and that the majority of the plastic in its packaging will be derived from recycled material or plant-based material.

In addition, Dermalogica aims to partner primarily with suppliers who monitor and manage their carbon footprint. The brand has already been recognised by the RSPO (Roundtable of Sustainable Palm Oil) for sourcing palm oil in a manner that doesn’t negatively affect local wildlife.

Getting started

The Dermalogica product portfolio has evolved out of a desire to provide best-in-class skin care products and education. At The Skin Experts, we’ve chosen to offer a carefully curated selection of its best-sellers, underpinned by key ‘cleanse, tone and moisturise’ basics.

Suitable for all skin types, the Special Cleansing Gel is a soap-free, foaming formulation that gently but thoroughly cleanses skin without disturbing its natural moisture balance. Oily or spot-prone skin might prefer the brand’s Breakout Clearing Foaming Wash.

Regular exfoliation is an important element of most skincare routines. Dermalogica’s Daily Microfoliant is an innovative powder-to-paste exfoliant that gently but thoroughly removes dead cells, dirt and excess oil to leave skin looking and feeling soft, smooth and even. This brightening polisher is gentle enough for daily use, too.

Other Dermalogica favourites include Pre-cleanse (a plant-based cleansing oil) and Skin Smoothing Cream (a next-generation moisturiser). If you really can’t decide what to try first, we recommend the Discover Healthy Skin kit. Suitable for all skin types, this kit contains a 30ml Pre-cleanse, a 15ml Special Cleansing Gel, a 13g Daily Microfoliant and a 15ml Skin Smoothing Cream. It’s the ideal introduction to four of the brand’s best-sellers – and it’s perfect for travel and gifting, too.
